Visit of officers from the 2nd CRF (Coordinator Rescue Forces) course

On September 03, 2021, the Italian Satellite Station COSPAS-SARSAT in Bari received a visit from officers attending the 2nd CRF (Coordinator Rescue Forces) course, organized by the training school of the Navy's Submarine Flotilla Command in Taranto, as part of the training activity  of the ISMERLO (International Submarine Escape and Rescue Liaison Office).

The course, the only one of its kind in NATO, meets an important need for the international community to be ready when called upon to carry out a disaster submarine rescue operation in a situation of absolute technical, psychological and media emergency.

During the meeting, the Officers, of Italian and foreign nationality (United States, Spain, Greece, Argentina and Indonesia), were provided with information content inherent to the international COSPAS-SARSAT system and the operational management of the Italian MCC (Mission control center).
